”The Womb” began its journey in October 2016.
It all started when I knitted a bizarre shape sleeve using natural jute twine.
It was always evolving and changing. Later that week I bought a Tibetan copper bell from Deptford Market.

Once created, I then tried the knitted sleeve on, while holding the bell in my hand I snapped a couple of shots with my DSLR.
I had so many different thoughts going through my head while editing my photographs, suddenly I realized that my knitted piece looked like a womb and the bell could symbolize new beginnings.
Thus ”The Womb” was born, as the representation of the Great Mother. The womb can flourish as it knits new life, but also with one loose thread, it can go through pain, or even reach the end of its life.
